2022 Culture & Legal Update

Gary Friesen, Vice President/General Counsel

The U.S. culture is increasingly opposed to longstanding Christian values and practices. Over the last 2–3 years, the contrast between our Alliance churches and institutions, and the expectations of those to whom we engage, has become significant.

How do we faithfully and wisely live out the gospel in a post-Christian progressive revisionist culture?

What does the law actually require?

What additional changes can we anticipate in the next few years?

Along with President John Stumbo and General Counsel Gary Friesen, you will hear from C&MA Outside Legal Counsel Stuart Lark and renowned Christian psychologist Mark Yarhouse. Dr. Yarhouse’s books include Emerging Gender Identities: Understanding the Diverse Experiences of Today's Youth and Understanding Gender Dysphoria: Navigating Transgender Issues in a Changing Culture. This event will present up-to-date legal, political, and cultural data in a way that is immediately applicable for you, your leaders, and your legal counsel. We have gathered the very best thinkers and communicators who will speak to these vital issues from an Alliance perspective.
